Day #5 5/12/23

 Today was unfortunate because the plane I usually fly is undergoing its 100-hour maintenance. So instead of flying my instructor and I went over other things that are very important to flying. We talked about maps and the symbols on them. Also the difference between big and small airports and their colors. We also talked about lift which is the physics behind how an airplane flies through the air. Along with stalling which is when an aircraft can't generate enough lift to keep itself on a steady plain. It was unfortunate that I could get back up in the sky today but I did learn a lot of new information that I can study for and help myself gain a stronger understanding of flying. 

Time at Concord airport 2: (11-1)

Time studied 4: (2-4) and tonight (8-10)

Week #2 reflection 5/20/23

 Week two was a great week. I reached many goals that I had been striving to complete. I completed many new things such as better control of the aircraft, new maneuvers, and taking off by myself which I was really looking forward to doing. After every flight I talk with Henry and Jack about their experiences threw their flying and we all learn from each other which I think is very important for each others personal growth. These next two days are going to a great time of flying. I hope that weather is good so I can learn more. I am mostly looking forward to landing. This has posed to me as a must need to learn. It is the most critical part of flying. Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory. I feel that if I can land the plane by myself this senior project will be a today success. 5/13/23 first week blog

 What's up blog,     The first week is done and it has been great. I've learned so much in such a short time frame. Through studying and flying I've truly learned a lot. I have learned many maneuvers, how to climb, descend, and turn left and right. It has been so cool. My instructor still has been in more control of the plane than myself which is a bummer but I am still learning. I know that next week I will unlock more things to do in the aircraft. I am hoping for a great week next week full of many things. Mostly landing and taking off which would be so cool. This week was great and I am looking forward to the next.

Day #2 5/9/23

 Today was a very exciting day, I was able to go up and fly with my instructor today. I arrived at Concord Airport at 11AM and had a preview of what we were supposed to do today. My instructor and I checked the weather and then headed out to the plane. Here, my instructor, had me inspect the aircraft and do many checks to see if there is anything wrong and to prepare it for flight. After checking and preparing we hopped on the plane and started it up. We proceeded to taxi down the runway which in my opinion was the hardest part. Then we took off which my instructor did but when we got into the air I was able to fly the plane. I just did some simple maneuvers and also flew over Proctor which was very cool. My instructor also landed the plane which I carefully watched over because soon I'll be in control of taking off and landing.
